2009 DJ of the Year
Every August, thousands of disc jockeys from across the country gather together in Atlantic City, New Jersey for DJ Times magazine’s International DJ Expo. After several days of seminars and workshops to improve their craft, 12 of the best of the best from across the country are awarded the opportunity to compete in the annual “DJ Of The Year Competition”. Contestants are awarded points by a panel of celebrity judges and honors are given in various categories. On August 12, 2009 Steve Moody received two major awards for his performance during this event, "Best New Party Game Of 2009” and one of the absolute highest honors within the mobile disc jockey industry, “2009 DJ OF THE YEAR”! Steve also holds the honor of being the very first DJ from the state of Maryland to ever receive this award from the International DJ Expo.

On September 22, 2009, Steve also received a Special Commendation from the Commissioners of Caroline County recognizing his DJ Of The Year achievement, which had been the culmination of a lifetime of work bringing enjoyment to others.
